Shillong: The Meghalaya government has granted an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to IRCON International to construct a new secretariat complex at Shillong.
The project incidentally is a JV between Badri Rao and Company and IRCON with the former holding a 74 per cent share and the latter 26 per cent.
Translated into actual figures, the total contract value is pegged at Rs 1096.17 crore with IRCON’s share being Rs 285 crore. The campus infrastructure on an engineering, procurement and construction basis is expected to be completed in three years.
The contract was granted by the Directorate of Urban Affairs, Meghalaya Government and will be a further feather in the cap for IRCON’s expanding portfolio in infrastructure development including railway construction, roads, buildings and metro rail works.
