New Delhi: Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has announced the appointment of Proteek Kumar Chakraborty as its next Director (Finance).
He has been recommended for the role by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). Currently, he is serving as the Additional General Manager (Finance) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
In his new role as the Director (Finance), Chakraborty will be a member of the Board of Directors of ECIL and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will spearhead the finance and accounts functions of the organisation and will be responsible for formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as their implementation.
ECIL is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Department of Atomic Energy. It was established in 1967 to foster Indigenous electronics capabilities, with a focus on nuclear, defence, and other strategic sectors.
Some of ECIL’s notable achievements include developing India’s first digital computer, solid-state TV and C&I for nuclear power plants.
The company now designs, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of products and services including computers and control systems, instrumentation and industrial electronics, electronic voting machines, radiation monitoring and detection systems, etc.
