New Delhi: Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starlink will be receiving the licenses to start its services and operations in India this month.
For this license, SpaceX Starlink will have to deposit Rs 1.60 crore non-refundably. Out of this, Rs 1.20 Crore has to be deposited for commitment and national security legal proposals.
The remaining amount has to be deposited within this month. In case of any non-compliance, the government will withdraw the guarantee money from the bank.
In case any information provided by Starlink is proved to be false or misleading, the license can be revoked at any time.
Last May, the government provided a wish list and initial plans to start artificial satellite-based Internet services.
Subsequently, Starlink even tied up with Bharti Airtel and Jio for Internet and mobile services.
Now that Starlink has received the license, Internet services in India will run. much faster.
