Mumbai: In a strategic move aimed at boosting Maharashtra’s economic and infrastructure growth, Kaustubh Dhavse has been appointed as the Chief Advisor (Investments & Strategy) to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Dhavse, who previously served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister, brings deep experience in infrastructure strategy, investment promotion, and public policy. A key member of Fadnavis’ core team during his tenure as Chief Minister from 2014 to 2019 and later as Deputy CM (2022–2024), Dhavse was instrumental in coordinating the government’s ‘war room’ to monitor and fast-track mega infrastructure and technology projects.
In his new position, Dhavse will lead war room coordination for major projects and drive strategic initiatives in foreign direct investment (FDI), investment policy design, and large-scale IT implementation. His appointment reflects the Maharashtra government’s renewed push for economic reforms and global investment attraction.
Before entering public service, Dhavse held senior positions in leading firms such as Solectron Inc., HP Inc., and Frost & Sullivan. An electronics engineer from Mumbai University, he holds an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research and a public policy degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
