New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of IAS Shailesh Kumar Yadav (2013 batch) as the Deputy Secretary in the National Health Authority (NHA) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare.Â
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order stating that Yadav’s posting is under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years or until further orders.
Yadav is currently serving in the Tripura government as Director of Industries & Commerce, Mission Director of Tripura Bamboo Mission, and Managing Director of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) Ltd. He is expected to be relieved from these roles soon to assume his new responsibilities in New Delhi.
His appointment comes at a time when the NHA is driving key health initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Yadav’s administrative experience is expected to support the Authority’s efforts to expand and strengthen these flagship programs across the country.
