New Delhi: Quick Heal Technologies Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BHASHINI, the government’s multilingual AI platform under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to deliver cybersecurity and data privacy awareness in 22 Indian languages.
The initiative aims to address the accessibility gap in India’s digital safety education, where most awareness material is available only in English. With over 800 million internet users, a large section remains excluded from critical cybersecurity and privacy information due to language barriers.
Under the agreement, Quick Heal’s enterprise brand, Seqrite, will integrate BHASHINI’s language technology stack, which includes speech recognition, translation, text-to-speech, and optical character recognition. This will enable the delivery of multilingual cybersecurity education modules, real-time threat alerts, and localised incident response guidance.
The collaboration also aligns with compliance requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, which mandates certain user communications in regional languages. As part of the immediate rollout, Seqrite’s consent and preference management solution will offer localised consent notices, allowing users to review and respond to data requests in their preferred language.
Quick Heal stated that the partnership seeks to make cybersecurity and data privacy information accessible to all citizens, irrespective of their language proficiency. BHASHINI emphasised that inclusive communication is essential for building digital trust.
The move reflects a broader industry trend towards localised, regulation-compliant digital services, aiming to strengthen user awareness and resilience in an evolving threat landscape.
