Amaravati: In a bid to boost governance and fast-track developmental projects, the Andhra Pradesh government has issued fresh transfer and posting orders for several IAS officers across key departments. Accordingly, IAS S. Nagalakshmi (2012 batch) has been appointed as Managing Director (MD), Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO), Energy Department.Â
She replaces IAS K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu (2011 batch).
Other key transfers include
- IAS Mallikarjuna A (2012 batch): In addition to his role as Director, B.C. Welfare, he will now serve as Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission.
- IAS Mogili Venkateswarlu (2013 batch): Posted as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Nellore, replacing IAS Kollabathula Karthik (2020 batch).
- IAS P. Prasanthi (2014 batch): Appointed as Director, Rehabilitation and Resettlement.
- IAS B.R. Ambedkar (2015 batch): Appointed as Inspector General, Registration & Stamps. He takes over from IAS G. Veerapandian (2009 batch), who has been relieved of the additional charge.
- IAS Sridhar Chamakuri (2016 batch): Appointed as Director, Excise & Prohibition.
- IAS Amilineni Bhargav Teja (2018 batch): Appointed as Additional Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), replacing IAS Mallarapu Naveen (2018 batch).
- IAS Mallarapu Naveen (2018 batch): Posted as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Krishna district.
- IAS Katta Simhachalam (2019 batch): Appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
The appointments are expected to provide fresh momentum to the state’s welfare, energy, and administrative functions.
