Ranchi: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred 12 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). Accordingly, IPS Rakesh Ranjan has been appointed the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ranchi.
Ranjan previously served as the SP of Chaibasa. Consequently, IPS Amit Renu, earlier SP of Naxal operations in Ranchi, has been made the new SP of Chaibasa.Â
The list of other IPS transfers includes
- IPS Paras Rana, previously the ASP (Operations) of Chaibasa, will take charge as City SP of Ranchi.
- IPS Chandan Kumar Sinha has been made the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Ranchi.
- IPS Arvind Kumar Singh has become the new SP of the Special Branch, Ranchi.
- IPS Ehtesham Waqarib has been posted as SP of CID, Ranchi.
- IPS Rakesh Singh takes charge as SP, Traffic, Ranchi.
- IPS Deepak Kumar Pandey has become SP, Special Branch.
- IPS Animesh Naithani will now serve as SP of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
- IPS Saurabh has been posted as the new SP of Deoghar.
- IPS Ajit Kumar has taken charge as SP of Jamshedpur Railways.
- IPS Kailash Karmali has become the new SP of Railways, Dhanbad.
