Jaipur: Senior IAS V Srinivas is set to become the new Chief Secretary of Rajasthan.Â
Srinivas, a 1989 batch officer of the Rajasthan cadre, was serving in Delhi as Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and the Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare. The Centre relieved him from these roles on Friday evening after the Rajasthan government sought his repatriation.
With his move back to the state, the Central Government has handed additional charge of his responsibilities to IAS Rachna Shah. She is currently the Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. She has also served as Secretary of the Department of Textiles, adding to her wide administrative experience.
Srinivas held key positions in administrative reforms and pension management at the central level. His appointment as Chief Secretary places him at the top of the state bureaucracy, where he will play a major role in governance and coordination across departments.
