Patna: The Bihar government carried out a major reshuffle to improve coordination across key departments. Accordingly, six IAS officers have been assigned new responsibilities. IAS K Senthil Kumar (1996 batch) has been given additional charge of the SC ST Welfare Department while continuing as Principal Secretary of the Planning and Development Department.
Kumar will also serve as CEO of the Mahadalit Vikas Mission.
The list of other transfers includes
IAS Pankaj Kumar Pal (2002 batch) will continue as Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department and will now also look after the Rural Works Department.
IAS Abhay Kumar Singh (2004 batch) has moved from the Urban Development and Housing Department to the Food and Consumer Protection Department. He will continue to hold additional charge of the Science and Technology Department and remain Managing Director of the State Electronics Development Corporation.
IAS Divesh Sehra (2005 batch) has been shifted from the SC ST Department to the Rural Works Department. He will also take on extra responsibility as Vigilance Commissioner for the Mines and Geology Department.
IAS Saravanan M (2002 batch) has been moved from the Rural Works Department to the General Administration Department.
IAS Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalkatti has been transferred from the Road Construction Department to the Urban Development and Housing Department. He will also oversee Patna Metro Rail as an additional charge.
