New Delhi:Â The central government issued a series of notifications announcing appointments, redesignations, and postings of senior officers as part of its ongoing administrative reshuffle. IAS Lakshay Singhal has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of South Delhi.
Singhal was earlier posted in Ladakh. In addition to his primary role, he will also hold multiple additional charges. These include the Secretary of the Public Grievances Commission and the Project Director of the Delhi State AIDS Control Society. His new responsibilities place him at the centre of key administrative, governance, and public service functions in the national capital.
The appointment entrusts him with oversight of district administration, grievance redressal mechanisms, and public health initiatives related to HIV and AIDS control.
The move reflects the Centre’s efforts to improve administrative efficiency, ensure continuity in governance, and deploy experienced officers in strategically important roles at both central and regional levels.
