New Delhi: In an effort to boost last-mile credit access, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MSC India Consulting Pvt. Ltd.
The partnership aims to strengthen access to formal credit and accelerate inclusive finance initiatives across India.
As part of the partnership, PNB and MSC India Consulting will together expand financing support for women micro-entrepreneurs and strengthen the Self-Help Group (SHG)–Bank linkage programme.
The collaboration aims to improve credit access within the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLM) ecosystem. This will be done by enabling structured financial linkages, building capacity, and ensuring a smoother flow of institutional credit to underserved communities.
According to PNB, the initiative will help improve grassroots-level credit delivery, empower women-led enterprises, and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities in rural and semi-urban areas.
