Noida, May 23 (APAC News): NTPC on Saturday reported a 34.4% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 10,614.95 crore for the March quarter of FY2025-26, compared with Rs 7,897.14 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to a regulatory filing.
The company reported total income of Rs 50,410.58 crore for the period, down 1.32% from Rs 51,085.05 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s EBITDA rose 8.3% to Rs 15,323 crore from Rs 14,154.1 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA margin improved to 30.8% from 28.4%.
The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 3.5 per equity share of face value Rs 10 each for FY26, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.
The final dividend is in addition to the first and second interim dividends of Rs 2.75 per share each paid in November 2025 and February 2026, respectively.
The earnings announcement follows subsidiary NTPC Green Energy reporting its Q4FY26 results a day earlier, with net profit declining 15.6% year-on-year to Rs 197.1 crore even as revenue rose 46.7% to Rs 912.6 crore.
The company’s board also approved a Rs 5,000 crore fundraising plan and cleared the incorporation of a renewable energy joint venture with CtrlS Datacenters for development of green power projects.
