Dehradun, May 25 (APAC Media): In a major bureaucratic reshuffle involving the transfer of 19 IAS officers, the Uttarakhand government has appointed IAS Alok Kumar Pandey as the Commissioner of the Dehradun Municipal Corporation.
A 2016-batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre, Pandey brings with him extensive administrative and technological experience.
Before this appointment, he served as Additional Secretary in the Information Technology Department and Director of the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA). He also held the responsibility of Chief Executive Officer of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana in the state. Earlier, Pandey also headed the rural water supply and sanitation mission, where he played a key role in strengthening public service delivery.Â
His tenure as the Director of ITDA was marked by several initiatives aimed at enhancing Uttarakhand’s digital infrastructure and promoting innovation in the IT and science & technology sectors.
