Agartala, June 11 (APAC Media): The Tripura government on Tuesday introduced the state’s first-ever Online School Monitoring System to enable real-time tracking of schools to improve the quality of foundational education.
The digital platform was inaugurated by School Education Secretary Dr. Milind Dharamrao Ramteke, IAS, during a workshop organised by the NIPUN Tripura Cell and the Pre-Primary Cell under the Directorate of Elementary Education.Â
Conceived under the guidance of Dr. Ramteke, the initiative aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and timely intervention in the state’s school education system.
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Ramteke highlighted the crucial role of Block Resource Persons (BRPs) and Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) in strengthening education for students from Classes I to V.Â
Under the new system, BRPs and CRPs will be required to visit their assigned schools at least once every fifteen days and upload inspection reports through the online platform. These reports will be monitored at both district and state levels, allowing authorities to access real-time school data for the first time.
The School Education Secretary further stated that Inspectors of Schools will supervise the inspection process and evaluate the academic performance of students from Classes VI to X through regular as well as surprise visits.Â
Teachers will also conduct student assessments through the digital platform, while accountability measures will be introduced to ensure that students achieve age-appropriate learning outcomes.Â
Teachers whose students demonstrate notable academic improvement will be recognised and rewarded.
The programme was attended by Director of SCERT L. Darlong, Director of Elementary Education Harshita Biswas, and State Nodal Officer of NIPUN Mission and Branch Officer of the Pre-Primary Cell, Abhijit Samajpati.
Addressing the gathering, Harshita Biswas reiterated the department’s commitment to delivering quality education and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts by Inspectors, BRPs, CRPs, and teachers to improve student learning outcomes.Â
She further added that accountability would be fixed at all levels to ensure effective implementation of the initiative.
The Education Department indicated that additional technology-driven initiatives would be introduced in the coming months, with a continued focus on improving foundational literacy, numeracy, and overall learning outcomes across Tripura’s schools.
