Varanasi, June 11 (APAC Media): Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Varanasi Smart City Limited (VSCL) to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the city.
As part of the collaboration, both organisations will work together to identify strategic locations for setting up EV charging stations across the city.
These locations will include public parking facilities, transit points, municipal properties, commercial hubs, and key tourist destinations.
The initiative aims to enhance the availability of EV charging facilities by focusing on high-traffic and transit-oriented locations, ensuring convenient and reliable charging options for residents and visitors.
The charging network will be developed in a phased manner and scaled up in line with the city’s growing mobility requirements.
The partnership supports Uttar Pradesh’s green mobility goals and aligns with the objectives of the Smart Cities Mission by promoting sustainable urban transportation and cleaner mobility solutions.
TPEVCSL already has an established presence in Varanasi through its EV charging stations at prominent locations such as Taj Ganges and Hotel Surya.
