Mumbai, July 31 (APAC Media): The Government of Maharashtra has appointed IAS Vikas Pansare as the new Director of the Directorate of Tourism.
He succeeds IAS Mangesh Joshi in this role.
Pansare previously served as Managing Director of the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (MSSIDC). Throughout his administrative journey, he has held responsibilities across multiple departments of the Maharashtra Government.
As Director of Tourism, Pansare will oversee the implementation of tourism policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening Maharashtra’s position as a tourism destination. Additionally, he will be responsible for advancing sustainable tourism development and enhancing the state’s visibility in domestic and international markets.
