Bangalore: The 1994-batch IAS officer Anjum Parwez has been appointed as the new managing director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL). He has also worked as the MD of the Bangalore Metropolitan Road Transport Corporation (BMTC).
Anjum Parwez hails from Patna, Bihar. He passed out of IIT-Delhi and joined the IAS in 1994. He has earlier been posted as Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Managing Director at KBJNL, Principal Secretary, Department of Personnel, Secretary, Urban Development Department.
