NAGPUR: Mihan-SEZ and MahaMetro corporation signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) for providing last mile connectivity in the zone. The Metro rail comes till the Khapri station from where the passengers have to go further in interior to the units within Mihan.
At present, a person getting down at the Metro station takes different modes of transport under the feeder service of MahaMetro. This includes buses, NMC, e-bikes, and e-rickshaws.
Now with the MoC signed, it brings advantage to both the Mihan-SEZ and the MahaMetro. “It would lead to easier access to the SEZ, in turn bringing the project an advantage. Even MahaMetro can expect to get more passenger due to the feeder service available,” said the officials
The MoC was signed by development commissioner Sraman Vasireddy on behalf of Mihan while Sunil Mathur, director operations, was from the MahaMetro side.
