Kochi: IAS Dodda Venkata Swamy, who has been serving as the Chairman (Joint Secretary level) of the Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA) in Kochi, recently received an extension on his tenure.
The 2001-batch officer, of the Orissa cadre, received this extension after an official order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), which was recently approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Swamy’s tenure has been extended for two years, starting from March 18, 2024 and ending on March 17, 2026. His extension was proposed and approved by the Department of Commerce, to ensure the continuance of his service in this post.
