Kolkata: The West Bengal government has appointed IAS Nandini Chakraborty as the new Home Secretary Of West Bengal. Chakraborty, a 1994-batch officer, is currently serving as the state Tourism Secretary, and previously held the position of Principal Secretary to Governor CV Ananda Bose.
The announcement was made by the state Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department in a notification issued on Sunday. Simultaneously, outgoing Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi has been appointed as the Chief Adviser (Finance) to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for a three-year term, following the conclusion of his tenure as Chief Secretary.
Former Home Secretary BP Gopalika has been confirmed as the new Chief Secretary of the state, succeeding Dwivedi.
