New Delhi: IAS Swati Meena Naik, a 2007-batch officer from Madhya Pradesh, has been empanelled for the position of Joint Secretary or its equivalent at the Government of India.
Naik is currently serving as the Managing Director of the Women Finance & Development Corporation and Ex-officio Additional Secretary at the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Women & Child Development Department.
Naik, who secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 260 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her first attempt in 2007 at the age of 22, stood out as the youngest officer in her batch. Notably, she achieved this feat without any coaching.
With roots in Rajasthan’s Sikar, Swati Meena Naik pursued her education at Ajmer’s Sophia Girls’ College. Her mother owns a business, including a petrol pump, and her father serves as an officer in the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS).
Prior to her current role, Naik served as the Director of the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, demonstrating her commitment to crucial sectors of governance.
