New Delhi: Debi Prasad Satpathy is set to become the new Director (HR) at BEML following a recommendation by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). Satpathy is currently the Executive Director (HR) at BEML.
Satpathy’s appointment was confirmed by BEML through a statement released on Tuesday. He has gathered over three decades of experience in Human Resource and Development across Central and State Government sectors.
Satpathy started out as an Executive Trainee at Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd’s Nagaon Paper Mill in Assam, and became their HR Manager within 15 years. He joined BEML Limited in 2011 and assumed leadership roles within the Industrial Relation and Recruitment Department. He later oversaw the personnel department at BEML’s rail coach unit in Bangalore Complex.
At BEML, Satpathy initiated the implementation of SAP HCM modules and the development of customised IT solutions for HR processes. He played an important role in negotiating pay revisions and long-term settlements with unions, and actively participated in government initiatives such as CSR, Swachh Bharat, and Skill India.
Satpathy has a B.Sc (Honors) degree and an MA in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management from Berhampur University.
