UP: IAS Ujjwal Kumar appointed Special Secretary, MSME dept; 6 more officers transferred

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh state government recently transferred and posted seven IAS officers across various departments. The names and new designations of the officers are as follows:

• IAS officer Ujjwal Kumar (2012 batch), the outgoing District Magistrate of Firozabad, has been mandated to assume office as the Special Secretary in the Department of MSME.
• Kumar is replacing IAS officer Arun Prakash (2012 batch), who has been appointed the Special Secretary in the Department of Urban Development.
• IAS officer Ramesh Ranjan (2013 batch) has been posted as the new DM of Firozabad, replacing Kumar. He was previously serving as the Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission.
• IAS officer Gaurav Verma (2014 batch), the outgoing Special Secretary of Youth Welfare has been appointed the Special Secretary of Secretariat Administration Department.
• IAS officer Shesh Nath (2012 batch), currently posted as the Special Secretary in the Department of Sugarcane Development, is the new Special Secretary in the Department of Public Works.
• IAS officer Isha Priya (2016 batch) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Tourism. She was previously serving as the Additional Registrar (Administration) in the Cooperative department.
• IAS officer Atal Rai (2010 batch) has been posted as the Director of Panchayati Raj.
