New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) recently announced the appointments of seven officers at the Joint Secretary or equivalent level. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has notified that the officers who are currently on election duty will take up their assignments after receiving clearance from the Election Commission.
Following are the names and new designations of the officers:
- IAS officer Nitin Kumar Yadav has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, replacing IAS M. Balaji. He will serve in this post till September 12, 2028, or until further orders.
- IAS officer Pankaj Yadav has been posted as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, replacing IAS Karma Zimpa Bhutia. He will serve for a period of five years up to October 31, 2027, or until further orders.
- CSS officer Shersha has been named the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, replacing IP&TA&FS Shahnawaz Alam. He will serve in this position till October 31, 2025, or until further orders.
- IRTS officer Kamlesh Kumar Mishra is the new Joint Secretary of the Sixteenth Finance Commission under the Department of Economic Affairs. He will serve in this post for five years or until further orders.
- IRSE officer Vinod Kumar Tripathi has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, replacing IRS Ruchika Chaudhry Govil. He will serve in this post until December 31, 2027, or until further orders.
- IP&TA&FS Sachidanand Prasad has been posted as the Secretary of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) under the Ministry of AYUSH. He will serve until his superannuation on December 31, 2027, or until further orders.
- IP&TA&FS Pradeep Kumar has been named as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, replacing IRAS Mukta Shekhar. He will serve until his superannuation on March 31, 2026, or until further orders. Shekhar has been repatriated to her parent cadre from the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
