Mumbai: The Central Government recently approved the extension of the tenure of IES officer Meenaxi Rawat as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). She will serve in this post for two more years.
Rawat is an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of the 1993 batch. She falls in the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India and has been the CVO of BPCL since September 15, 2021. She has 29 years of experience serving in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Railway Board, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Labour & Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India.
With an M.A. & M. Phil in Economics from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and an MBA from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, Rawat specialises in Finance, Budget, Project Appraisal, Consumer welfare, Labour laws, Industrial and Public Policy.
