Bhubaneshwar: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative named “Aarogya” to improve healthcare facilities in Odisha. MCL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar.
This Rs 18.22 crore “Aarogya” project will focus on improving access to quality healthcare, especially in cancer treatment. A multi-utility Gastronomy Block will be constructed, which will have advanced equipment and materials for cancer care, to cater to the diverse needs of all patients.
The agreement was signed by MCL’s representative Subhrajyoti Sahoo, Manager (Civil)/CSR, and Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
