New Delhi: The parent company of Paytm, One97 Communications Limited, has announced that Narasinganallore Venkatesh Srinivasan has been appointed as a non-executive independent director of Paytm Money Limited (PML), a fully-owned subsidiary.
Srinivasan brings a wealth of knowledge in capital markets, banking strategy, risk management, and finance from a career spanning more than 40 years. Prior to this, he served as the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) CEO. He held senior roles in IDBI Bank for 19 years, including CFO and executive director, and served as chief financial officer and executive director on the board of Lakshmi Vilas Bank before joining AMFI, according to the statement.
He was also heading the Maharashtra government on cash management and government borrowing, and he has served on SEBI’s committees for mutual funds, corporate bonds, and securitization. Srinivasan holds a certificate in management and financial services and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He is trained as a chartered accountant.
