Bengaluru: Global data platform Redis has appointed Vimal Venkatram to spearhead the company’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific area. Venkatram brings a wealth of experience to Redis, having previously served as the head of Snowflake’s operations in India for an extended period.
Venkatram joins Redis at a time when the firm’s clientele is expanding rapidly in the area; during the last two years, the company has added clients including Axis Bank, Zee Entertainment, Mandiri Bank, and Meesho, growing its clientele by 117 percent. In the Asia-Pacific area, use cases for GenAI are beginning to proliferate across all industries. To provide their customers with the greatest experience possible, businesses are searching for methods to integrate GenAI-powered apps into their operations, according to Venkatram.
He added, “Quick databases and real-time data access are becoming crucial components of any modern business stack. Redis is in a unique position to succeed in this industry because it lets users combine data from global, hybrid, and multi-cloud apps to create lightning-fast products that users adore.”
