Kolkata: The state government of West Bengal has made major changes to its bureaucratic hierarchy. The move aims to enhance departmental efficiency and governance. The transfers and appointments include various key officials across different departments.
Here is a list of transferred officers:
Joyoshi Das Gupta, IAS officer of the 2010 batch has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary of the Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department.
Siladitya Basu Ray, also from the 2010 batch, will take charge as Senior Special Secretary for the Public Enterprises & Industrial Reconstruction (PE & IR) Department. He previously served as the Senior Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department,
Amit Roy Chaudhury, formerly the Senior Special Secretary in the Food and Supplies Department, has been transferred to the position of Senior Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department.
Dr. Subrata Gupta, a 2011 batch IAS Officer, has been assigned as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology and Biotechnology.
Hirdyesh Mohan will now lead the Department of Mass Education Extension and Library Services. He earlier served as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Science and Technology and Bio-Technology Department.
Khalil Ahmed, earlier the Principal Secretary of the Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Department, has become the Principal Secretary of the Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department.
Rajesh Kumar Sinha, who was previously the Principal Secretary for the Housing Department with additional charge of the Youth Services and Sports Department, will also serve as the CEO of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).
Dr. Godala Kiran Kumar will take charge as the Special Secretary of the Consumer Affairs Department. Previously he was the Officer-On-Special Duty at the Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute.
Saikat Ganguly will be posted as the Additional District Magistrate of Nadia, with additional responsibility as Project Director of DRDC .
