New Delhi: National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Kanti has launched a Mobile Medical Unit to boost maternal and child healthcare. The move has come as part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The Mobile Medical Unit is located at NTPC’s power plant in Muzaffarpur and will operate for the next four years.
The newly launched mobile medical unit is designed to cater to 42 villages surrounding NTPC Kanti and plans to benefit around 10,000 villagers. The unit is fully equipped and staffed by highly skilled healthcare personnel, including two doctors, a nurse, two paramedical staff, and a driver. The initiative aims to meet the critical healthcare needs of pregnant women and newborns in underserved communities of the area.
NTPC is an Indian public sector firm established in 1975. It was set up to increase the country’s power output. The company aims to provide efficient and sustainable power solutions.
