Chennai: In a move to provide skill-based training to Engineering and Science students, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras’ Pravartak Technologies Foundation has collaborated with SWAYAM Plus to launch a program to provide industry-ready technical skills. This classroom-based initiative will span over 11 days and will focus on the semiconductor industry. It also plans to provide placement assistance to participants who excel in the program.
Notable features of the program include:
Industry-relevant curriculum: The curriculum is designed in collaboration with Industry experts to deliver relevant skills to students in the latest technology & processes in Electronics manufacturing.
Placement support: IIT Madras will provide placement support and connect final-year students with leading electronics manufacturing companies.
Bridge the skill gap: The program is expected to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the electronics manufacturing service (EMS) industry.

Sarathi, Dean (Planning) at IIT Madras while highlighting the importance of the initiative stated that it will provide a comprehensive training experience that prepares participants to deliver exceptional skills in the semiconductor industry.
