The BJP is starting its third consecutive term in Haryana, winning 48 out of 90 assembly seats. Congress followed with 37 seats. Top political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, attended the event alongside Chief Ministers from BJP-led states such as Yogi Adityanath from Uttar Pradesh and Himanta Biswa Sarma from Assam.
Other prominent leaders from the NDA, including Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde, were also present. The ceremony set the stage for a planned NDA meeting in Chandigarh to outline the coalition’s direction for the state.
