Chennai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu Government has transferred several officers of the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service.
IAS Pradeep Yadav (1992 batch), previously the Additional Chief Secretary, has been assigned the post of Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The list of other IAS transfers includes:
IAS Rajesh Lakhoni (1992 batch) has taken over as the Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
IAS Satyabrata Sahoo, presently the state’s Chief Electoral Officer, will temporarily assume the role of Secretary for Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries, and Fishermen Welfare.
IAS C. Vijayaraj Kumar, Secretary of the Backward Class, Most Backward Class, and Minorities Welfare Department has been given additional charge in Human Resource Management. He will replace Nanthakumar, who has now been appointed the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TNEB and Tangedco.
IAS V. Amuthavalli has been assigned the role of Secretary for the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles, and Khadi Department.
IAS Dharmendra Pratap Yadav has become the new CMD of the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation Limited.
IAS S. Swarna will take charge as the State Project Director of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
IAS E. Sundaravalli will take on the role of Commissioner of Collegiate Education.
IAS R. Lilly will be the Commissioner of Social Welfare.
IAS Vishnu Chandran has become the Director of Employment and Training.
IAS R. Lalitha has become the Director of Textiles.
Besides these IAS transfers, the list of IPS transfers is as follows:
IPS Santosh Hadimani (2011 batch) has been given the charge of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Triplicane, Greater Chennai Police. He will be replacing IPS S. Selvanagarathinam (2013 batch) who will now serve as the DCP for St. Thomas Mount.
IPS M. Sudhakar has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) for Tiruvannamalai district, succeeding IPS K. Parabakar.
IPS K. Prabakar will now be the DCP for the Central Crime Branch at the Tambaram Police Commissionerate.
