Bengaluru: Tech Summit 2024 (BTS2024) is set to host the Venture Capital Connect program, a three-day initiative connecting startups with investors, organized by the Department of Electronics, IT, and Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka.
Scheduled from November 19-21, the program aims to provide a significant growth platform for startups, enabling them to scale their businesses with support from over 50 global investors, including venture capital firms, angel investors, and family offices, who collectively represent a potential investment fund of more than $17.5 billion.
The event has seen over 322 startups register, with 118 startups already holding patents. The participants include 23 ideation-stage startups, 142 at early traction, 75 at concept validation, and 82 at the growth stage. These startups will gain the chance to present their innovative solutions, network with top investors, and gain strategic insights and mentorship on business expansion. For investors, the program provides unique access to a diverse pipeline of high-growth, tech-driven startups from various sectors.
In line with Karnataka’s commitment to fostering innovation, this initiative specifically focuses on empowering Karnataka-based startups, backed by support from leading investment associations and registered venture capital networks in India.
Highlighting the program’s importance, Priyank Kharge, Minister for Information Technology & Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka, stated: “Karnataka has always been at the forefront of innovation, and with BTS 2024, we are amplifying this momentum by creating a direct bridge between our startups and global investors. This programme is more than a funding opportunity, it is a strategic investment in the future of Karnataka’s entrepreneurs, who are shaping tomorrow’s technology landscape.”
In addition to the Venture Capital Connect, BTS 2024 will feature several programs for the startup community, including a dedicated Startup track with panels, keynotes, a Startup Pavilion for showcasing innovations, a Product Launch arena, networking sessions, awards, and more. This comprehensive event underscores Karnataka’s role as a leader in technological innovation and its continued support for startup growth.
