Kanpur: IIT Kanpur has partnered with Zynetic Electric Vehicles Charging Pvt Ltd to work on new, advanced EV charging solutions. The two signed an MoU to create better AC and DC fast chargers, aiming to support the growing demand for electric vehicles in India.
The collaboration will focus on areas like power electronics, embedded systems, and using AI and machine learning for predictive maintenance. This partnership comes as India pushes towards its goal of 30% EV adoption by 2030, highlighting the need for a wider and more efficient charging network.
IIT Kanpur’s Director, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, noted that the partnership is an example of how academia and industry can come together to boost EV infrastructure. Harshvardhan Tiwari, CEO of Zynetic, added that this joint effort aligns with their vision of advancing sustainable transport in the country.
By combining IIT Kanpur’s research strengths with Zynetic’s expertise in EV charging, the partnership aims to create reliable, next-gen chargers to support the growing electric vehicle market in India.
