New Delhi: The Union Government has announced the transfers and fresh postings of five officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). The decision coincides with the heightened political activity in the capital ahead of the assembly polls expected in February 2025.
Accordingly, IPS Manishi Chandra, previously serving as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Delhi Police Commissioner, has been posted to Mizoram. Chandra is known for his expertise in law enforcement and his hands-on approach to tackling complex challenges. His shift to Mizoram is expected to enhance the policing capabilities in the northeastern state.
The list of other transferred officers includes:
IPS B L Suresh (2001 batch) has been transferred from Delhi and posted to Arunachal Pradesh where his leadership is anticipated to fortify police operations in the region.
IPS Rajneesh Garg (2002 batch) has been moved from Delhi to Ladakh, an area of strategic importance.
