Bengaluru: Bolt.Earth, India’s largest EV charging network, has named Raghav Bharadwaj as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bharadwaj, who previously served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, steps into the leadership role as the company secures $5 million in Series A+ funding. The funding round, led by Version One Ventures, with participation from USV and Prime Venture Partners, aims to support Bolt.Earth’s expansion plans.
Focus on EV Infrastructure and Fast-Charging Technology
The new capital will drive the company’s nationwide rollout of fast-charging solutions tailored for two, three, and four-wheelers. Bolt.Earth is prioritizing next-generation LEVDC chargers for smaller vehicles and ultra-fast DC chargers for four-wheelers, which are currently under production. This expansion aligns with the growing demand for reliable and interoperable EV charging networks across India.
Strategic Changes in Leadership Roles
The leadership transition includes co-founder Mohit Yadav taking over as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and outgoing CEO Jyotiranjan Harichandan focusing on strategic partnerships. These moves signal Bolt.Earth’s intent to strengthen its core technology and collaboration efforts.
Advancing Interoperability in EV Charging
As part of its expansion strategy, Bolt.Earth is working to enhance interoperability across its charging network. This includes enabling seamless access to multiple charging services via its app. Partnerships, such as its collaboration with ChargeZone, aim to bolster the network’s reach and utility for both individual users and enterprise clients.
Bharadwaj’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture for the company, as it seeks to position itself as a key player in India’s evolving electric mobility ecosystem. With the EV market growing rapidly, the leadership shakeup and funding boost are expected to help Bolt.Earth address challenges in infrastructure and technology integration.
