Gurugram: REA Group has announced the appointment of Vikas Wadhawan as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of REA Cyber City, the company’s innovation hub in Gurugram, India. In his new role, Wadhawan joins REA Group’s Global Technology Leadership Team and will lead operations, finance, people and cultural engagement, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
REA Cyber City, which officially opened in October 2024, serves as an extension of REA Group in Australia. The teams in Gurugram are focused on developing innovative products and features for Australia’s top residential property website, realestate.com.au.
Wadhawan brings over 20 years of global experience and joins the role after serving as a founding member of REA India, where he was instrumental in driving its success. He is recognized as a seasoned strategist with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams and delivering significant results.
REA Group’s Chief Technology Officer, Steve Maidment, stated that the establishment of a Chief Operating Officer role at REA Cyber City marks a significant milestone. He emphasized Wadhawan’s ability to embed world-class engineering capabilities and drive an ambitious growth agenda to accelerate REA’s strategic initiatives.
