Kolkata: The West Bengal government has decided to extend an ad-hoc bonus of Rs 6,800 to all state government employees.
The employees who had revised monthly emoluments below Rs 44,000 in March and those not coming under any productivity-linked bonus system are eligible for this ad-hoc bonus.
Employees with monthly earnings of Rs 52,000 or less in March this year, will be eligible for an interest-free advance of up to Rs 20,000. Pensioners will receive an exclusive gratia of Rs 3,500.
The official Finance department has given a special festival SOP in its order. The Muslim employees will receive the bonus before the Eid al-Fitr festival happening in the end of March.
Others will receive it between 15 to 19 September before Durga Puja.
