Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 147 projects valued at over Rs 1,500 crore in Gorakhpur today. These include 52 completed projects worth Rs 438.38 crore and 95 new initiatives estimated at Rs 1,061 crore.
Enhanced Connectivity and Healthcare
Among the key projects is the highly anticipated four-lane road connecting Gorakhpur to Deoria, which is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity. Additionally, the foundation for a 50-bed hospital in Bansgaon was laid, aimed at strengthening the local healthcare infrastructure.
These projects focus on the infrastructural and social development of eastern Uttar Pradesh, with a special emphasis on upgrading roads, expanding public health services, and improving overall connectivity in the state.
Recently Inaugurated Development Projects in Gorakhpur
The CM’s visit follows closely on the heels of another milestone event — the foundation laying of the ‘Powergrid Vishram Sadan’ at AIIMS Gorakhpur. This 500-bed facility, to be developed at a cost of Rs 44 crore under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Power Grid Corporation of India, is designed to offer affordable accommodation for patients and their attendants.
“AIIMS Gorakhpur is steadily progressing and becoming a key hub for healthcare in this region. It is situated in the heart of eastern UP, and with projects like the Vishram Sadan, we are contributing to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of linking robust healthcare services to the foundation of a developed, modern India,” CM Yogi said during the earlier ceremony.
