New Delhi: The central government has announced a series of bureaucratic reassignments across key departments, impacting tribal affairs, atomic energy, and animal husbandry. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued formal orders on Friday for three senior IAS officers, marking another round of administrative adjustments at the Centre.
Amit Kumar Appointed PS to Tribal Affairs Minister
Amit Kumar, a 2010 batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre, has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared his posting for a period of five years or until further orders. Kumar will serve in the role at the Director level.
Additional Charge for Abhilaksh Likhi in Animal Husbandry
Abhilaksh Likhi (IAS: 1991, Haryana), currently the Secretary in the Department of Fisheries, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. This temporary assignment comes in light of the leave granted to Secretary Alka Upadhyaya (IAS: 1990, Madhya Pradesh). Likhi will hold the additional role from April 25 to May 6, 2025.
Seema Jain Takes Over Finance Role at Atomic Energy Commission
Seema Jain (IAS: 1991, Punjab), presently serving as Member Finance in the Space Commission, has been assigned additional responsibility as Member Finance in the Atomic Energy Commission. The post became vacant following the exit of Pankaj Kumar Mishra (IRS-IT: 1989). Jain will handle both roles until a new appointment is made or further instructions are issued.
