Itanagar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has partnered with the Arunachal State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) to set up a sub-regional office in Itanagar.
The agreement allocates 1720 sq ft in the old SCERT building. This dedicated space will serve as the hub for CBSE-related activities and matters concerning schools in Arunachal Pradesh.
The temporary housing of this office will be within the SCERT campus at Gohpur Tinali, Chimpu.
This move will bolster the educational infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh and enhance the state’s educational service delivery.
This will bring more tailored and efficient services in the state starting from the 2025-26 academic year. It will improve the administrative and educational support provided to local schools.
J Pankaj Bahr has been appointed the CBSE sub-regional officer for Itanagar. He will manage the office and ensure that schools and students receive timely and effective support.
The initiative could have lasting impacts on educational outcomes in the region. It could even offer a model for other regions to improve their educational service frameworks.
