Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has appointed senior IAS R. Sangeeta as the new Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited (CSMCL), commonly known as the Beverage Corporation.Â
She replaces IAS Shyam Dhavade, who has been relieved of this responsibility.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), R. Sangeeta, a 2005-batch IAS officer, will take charge of CSMCL in addition to her current roles as Secretary, Excise Department, and Excise Commissioner. The move is aimed at strengthening coordination and operational control within the Excise Department, under which the corporation functions.
Shyam Dhavade, a 2008-batch IAS officer, will continue to look after his other portfolios, which include Village Industries, Handloom Development, and the Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board.
R. Sangeeta’s appointment to CSMCL is seen as a step to bring more efficiency and integration in excise and beverage-related operations. With this change, the government aims to ensure better policy execution and stronger administrative control in one of the state’s key corporations.
