New Delhi: In a recent round of senior bureaucratic appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the appointments of two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to key roles in the Ministry of Finance.
IAS Swagat Ranveerchand Bhandari (2010 batch) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance. Her central deputation will run until July 29, 2029, covering a five-year tenure including both ex-cadre and CSS postings.Â
Bhandari is currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at IIT Kanpur, a role she took on in July 2024. Prior to that, she was the Managing Director of the Kerala Water Authority, where she led several major water supply and sanitation projects across the state.
In a parallel appointment, IAS Isha Khosla (2011 batch) has been named Director in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, for five years. Khosla’s deputation was recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has directed her to immediately relieve her current responsibilities to take up the new post in New Delhi.
Both officers are expected to contribute significantly to their respective departments.Â
