Patna: Ahead of the assembly elections, the Bihar government has transferred six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Accordingly, IAS Narmadeshwar Lal (1988 batch) has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department.
Along with this, he will also hold the additional charge of the Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department. He previously served as the Principal Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department.Â
The list of other transfers includes
- IAS B. Karthikeya Dhanji (2008 batch) has been transferred from the Sugarcane Industry Department and posted as the Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department. He has also been given the charge of Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department and Secretary of the Industries Department.
- IAS Chiring Y. Bhutia (2013 batch) has been made the Additional Secretary in the Health Department.
- IAS Yashpal Meena (2014 batch) will also serve as the Additional Secretary in the Health Department and has been given the additional charge of Director, Handloom and Silk Directorate.
- IAS Rajneesh Kumar Singh has been posted as the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, and given the additional role of Additional Director, Bihar Development Mission.
- IAS Anshul Agarwal has been appointed the new Inspector General of Registration-cum-Excise Commissioner, under the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department.
