New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has cleared the central deputation of three senior officers for key roles in different ministries and departments. According to the official notification, IAS Tariq Thomas (2011 batch) has been appointed Director in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Thomas currently serves as the Secretary of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). His new appointment, recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders.
Other appointments include
- IAS Nisha (2015 batch) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse. She will serve in the role at the Deputy Secretary level for a tenure of five years or co-terminus with the Minister’s term. She is currently Mission Director of the National Ayush Mission in Uttar Pradesh.Â
- IRS Davinder Chodha (2015 batch) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), under the Department of Commerce. His tenure will run for four years, ending March 14, 2028.
These postings fall under the Central Staffing Scheme, which places officers from various cadres in central ministries for fixed tenures.
