Patna: The Bihar General Administration Department has issued a major administrative reshuffle, reassigning several senior IAS officers and updating departmental responsibilities. IAS Mihir Kumar Singh (1993 batch) has been appointed as the new Development Commissioner of Bihar.
Singh takes over a post vacant since the retirement of IAS S. Siddharth. He was previously Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department and held charge of the Industries Department.
Other key appointments include
IAS CK Anil (1991 batch), formerly with the Bihar State Planning Council, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
IAS Deepak Kumar Singh (1992 batch), previously Additional Chief Secretary in the Rural Works Department, has been appointed Director General (Investigation Commissioner) in the General Administration Department.
IAS Kundan Kumar (2004 batch) has returned from his posting at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi, and been appointed Secretary of the Industries Department. In addition to this, he will hold additional charges, including oversight of Bihar Bhawan, the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), and duties as Investment Commissioner of Mumbai.
IAS Sanjay Kumar Singh (2007 batch) has been appointed Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department. Alongside this, he will also serve as Special Officer of the Home Department.
IAS Kaushal Kishore (2010 batch), currently Commissioner of Darbhanga Division, has been given additional charge of Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur until further orders.
IAS Raj Kumar, formerly posted in Muzaffarpur, is now Secretary of the Transport Department, replacing the outgoing officer who has been reassigned elsewhere.
IAS B. Karthikeya Dhanji, Secretary of the Water Resources Department, has been relieved from the additional charge of Industries Department.
The reshuffle reflects the Bihar government’s effort to strengthen administrative oversight and ensure efficient coordination across key departments.
