Agartala: The Ministry of Rural Development has approved 25 new road projects in Tripura under the Road Connectivity component of PM-JANMAN.Â
The projects will cover 65.38 kilometers and involve an investment of Rs 68.67 crore. The aim is to bring all-weather road connectivity to 30 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group habitations across the state.
Better roads will help tribal communities access healthcare, schools, and markets more easily. The government expects the projects to improve living conditions and reduce the isolation of remote villages. Stronger links to nearby towns can boost trade and local business. Construction work will also create new jobs for people in these areas.
The initiative supports the national goal of developing the Northeast and building a more prosperous India. Officials believe improved connectivity will unlock new opportunities for growth and help tribal families become more self-reliant.
