Chandigarh: The Haryana government has issued an order announcing a major administrative reshuffle involving the transfer and posting of five IAS officers across key departments. Accordingly, IAS Sudhir Rajpal (1990 batch) has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Home Department and Jails Department.
Rajpal is currently serving as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, along with additional charges of Medical Education and Research, Ayush, and Environment, Forests and Wildlife Departments. In his new role, he relieves IAS Sumita Misra (1990 batch).

IAS Sumita Misra (1990 batch) has now been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, and Consolidation Department. In addition, she has been given the charge of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, and Ayush Departments. She has been posted against a vacant position and relieves IAS Sudhir Rajpal of the health-related portfolios.
IAS Arun Kumar Gupta (1992 batch), has been elevated as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Haryana. He was earlier serving as Secretary to the Chief Minister, Additional Chief Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department, and Member Secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board. Along with his new role, he has been assigned additional charge of the Finance and Planning Departments, relieving IAS Anurag Rastogi of the responsibility.
IAS Saket Kumar (2005 batch) has been transferred and appointed Commissioner and Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department. He was previously Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Commissioner and Secretary of the Development and Panchayats Department, and Director of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited. He will also serve as Member Secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board, relieving Arun Kumar Gupta of the Urban Local Bodies charge.
IAS Ram Kumar Singh (2012 batch) has been posted as Special Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and has been given additional charge as Additional CEO of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PDMA). He relieves Vinay Kumar, IRPS (2015 batch), from the PMDA role.
